The Surprise Ride Box that we received was the Native American themed box! It included a PowWow book detailing each item, a North American Indian activity book, a bag of Popd Kern, a worry stone, a slide whistle, a rattle, a dream catcher kit, and a drum kit. My daughters were thrilled when I opened it up and they saw all the fun inside!
The dream catcher and drum were really fun to make! My husband made most of the dream catcher, but my 3 year old picked out the order of the beads. She has it hung up in her bedroom right now. It is so cute! She always tells me she will have good dreams because of it. The girls made the drum together. They had a lot of fun decorating it with all the stickers that came in the box! They play it all the time. Both of my girls loved the rattle. It actually rained about an hour after we opened up the box and my 3 year old said it was because of her rain rattle – haha, so adorable!
Because my oldest got to keep the dream catcher, my youngest has the worry stone. I love the idea of a worry stone and it holding your worries for you. I used to have one when I was young. The Popd Kern was delicious. I ate almost the whole bag myself – yeah, I hid in the corner with it, this mama is not ashamed, that stuff was good! Yum! The slide whistle is really cool and is carved in to a wolf. That was one of my favorite items. My almost 2 year old had a lot of fun coloring in the activity book. I enjoyed reading the PowWow book with my oldest a few times. I love that she is interested in learning more about Native Americans. Living in upstate New York they are actually a huge part of the culture up here. I cannot wait to teach her more!
Surprise Ride may look familiar and that is because it was featured on Shark Tank! It is recommended for ages 6-11. My 3 year old did pretty good on most things with our help. But if you are looking for something that your child can do mostly alone, then I would recommend them being at least 5. Surprise Ride starts at $24.95 a month and includes shipping. This box was so much fun and we had a blast learning about the Native American culture! Order your Surprise Ride Box from their website here.
