My daughters have been doing dance for 3 years already – and they are only 4 and 5. Next year they want to join the competition team and I am totally behind that. The problem is, I am not very organized in general. I have multiple calendars around the house but I always forget to look at them. I am always nervous that I will miss a competition or double book us. My nephews are on several different sports teams – baseball, football, and basketball – and we try to go to a few of their games a year – but I can;t keep their schedule straight. So when I found out about TeamSnap, I knew it was something that I could use to get organized – and that my sister-in-law would love too!
Having kids has really changed me. As most of you know, I have two young daughters, and because of this, I want to keep my home as safe as possible. We live in a city, a small city, but it is still a city. We also live near a college. The college kids don’t seem to come down our street too often, but they have done damage to homes in my area before. I love the idea of being able to see who comes to my door, or even who might be lingering outside and in the yard. Thanks to the Zmodo Torch I can, simply by changing my light bulb.
It’s 2017 already, and we are certainly just there with reaching the epitome of technological aggrandizement. Internet is faster than ever, while gadgets are getting more portable. Your child doesn’t need a family computer to connect to the internet anymore, nor do they have to take permission from you before making a phone call, because they can do all that using their personal smartphone.
As a social media influencer, blogger, and someone who is on the internet a lot, I need to make sure that my connection is strong at all times. I am also a huge gamer so when I power on the Playstation4 and settle in for a long gaming session, I don’t want any interruptions. My husband and I are both very technologically savvy and most of our home is a connected home. We have Hue lights, Ring doorbell system, Nest Thermostats, and a Nest Protect. It has been a struggle to find a router that can put up with our internet use. But we found one that not only does it, it exceeded our expectations.
I have had a cellphone since I was about 14 years old – but I had never heard of unlocked smartphones before. I think there are a lot of people out there who have not heard of this before, so I am excited to let you know about it. With a locked cellphone, that means there is no way to switch cellphone companies while you have that phone – even though you pay for it! I know that I had to pay for my smartphone and because I am did so with a certain company, I would need to purchase a new one in order to switch companies.
Best Buy has brought to life the latest in home technology at their Tech Home in the Mall of America. Here customers can touch and try the latest technology products in a homelike environment. The Best Buy Tech Home looks amazing! I would love to have a chance to visit with my family sometime. We are big into smart homes and new technology. Our home network currently has a video doorbell, lights controlled by an app, multiple smart TVs, and the Nest thermostat connected to it. Visiting the Best Buy Tech Home would be great because we would be able to try out different technologies and see what we would like to have set up at our own home before buying them. I believe that with new technology like we have available now, being able to test them out takes a lot of the guess work out of it.
I was so thrilled to be a part of the HP Millenial Influencer Panel this year. I have been working on my home office at my new home and am super excited to test out some products that will help my save time, space, and money! The welcome package was better than I could have ever imagined. It contained the brand new HP Deskjet 3755, HP Roar Mini Wireless Speaker, HP Social Media Snapshots, and HP Tervis Tumbler Water Bottle.
Sprint is providing a one-stop resource to help parents determine the right time to buy their child their first wireless phone. With the launch of “Kid’s First Phone” website (https://kidsfirstphone.sprint.com), Sprint is providing expert advice, an online quiz and other information to help parents make this decision. There is even a customizable parent-child mobile contract to set parameters and agree upon rules and limits for uses of a mobile phone. Even though my daughters are just 3 and 5 years old, I love this idea. Honestly they will probably be getting phones before the age of 10 because it will be easier to keep track of them and to be able to get a hold of them when I need to. I love this website that Sprint put together, and have already spent a lot of time checking it out.
Picture this: It’s the end of July—smack in the middle of summer. Your kids are at home with a caretaker while you toil away at your 9 to 5. Then, disaster strikes. There’s an emergency at home, and your kids have to call 911 for help. Are your children calling from a cell phone or a landline? And does it make any difference? Surprisingly, the answer is yes. According to the latest data, if you don’t have a landline in your home, it could be putting your children in grave danger.
As part of the LeapFrog Mom Squad, I was lucky enough to receive the brand new LeapFrog LeapStart a couple of weeks before it hits stores (July 14, 2016) – and my girls were super excited to test it out (Ok, I was too!). I could tell right away that this was going to be an incredible learning tool for them. My oldest starts Kindergarten next year, and my youngest will not start PreSchool until September 2017. They are both very smart girls (although I am a bit bias) because we work on their skills consistently at home. Every day we have “work book” time and boy was I thrilled to be able to add LeapStart in to that time!
